Destiny -- Bloodlust part 3

Finn and Marceline fly to the cave where her house is and go in.  They both look around.  It’s devastated.  Jake opened up the roof on her house a few days before, so they could get a few things out, and it seems nobody tried to steal anything; No one wants the Vampire Queen mad at them!  They manage to get in and find some crawl space.  Finn heads for her closet, and thinks of the first time he saw Marceline naked, and blushes!  Even with them being in a relationship, he decides that that one stays in the vault.  They gather a few things, and Finn finds his flute!  It still works!  He grabs it and plays a few licks, and Marcie smiles.  She says, “Your music is very sexy!” And starts crawling towards him!  She reaches him and takes the flute out of his hands – then says, “How do you play this thing?”  Finn takes it back and demonstrates a few fingerings, and then puts it in Marcie’s hands.  He puts his fingers over hers, showing her some notes, and realizes much too late that their touch is building passion in both of them! Marcie levitates them to her bed.  The frame is shattered but there is still some space above the mattress.  They lay on it in each other’s arms, and begin to explore each other.  As they do, their desire for each other builds and builds and builds!  They make passionate love to each other and then lie on the mattress in each other’s arms.  Finn says, “If we are going to get some of your stuff back to the tree house tonight, I think we had better work at different sides of the house!”  Marceline laughs and agrees!

They manage to collect a couple of large bags of stuff.  As they get ready to leave, Marceline sees her journal; she gets inspired to write some things in it, and grabs it.  Then Finn and Marcie fly back to the tree house.  As they are putting her stuff away, Jake comes down to the kitchen.  He hears Finn & Marcie there, and says, “Are you decent?”  Finn chuckles and says, “Yeah!  Come on in!”  He starts heading to the sink to get some water, and then he trips on one of Marceline’s guitars!  He falls flat on his face, and gets a big bruise on his cheek.  He looks up and Finn is mad!  Finn says, “Jake!  Don’t break Marceline’s stuff!”  Jake is very offended!  He stands up and says, “That’s it!  Nothing matters except that vampire girlfriend of yours!  You barely even see that I’m your brother!”  Jake gets an enraged look on his face and yells!  “I’M MOVING OUT!  I’m going to Lady Rainicorn’s place!  I was thinking about that already, but I was concerned about you, Finn!  But now I see that you don’t need me around!”  With that Jake goes into the bedroom growling under his breath, and then quickly packs a few things.  Then Jake stretches out the window!  Once he touches the ground he gallops off towards the Candy Kingdom.

Marceline says, “Wow, he looks ticked.”  Finn replies, “Yeah, I don’t think spaghetti is going to fix it this time…”  Marceline grabs Finn’s hand in empathy, but all that does is open a well of emotion in both of them!  They look at each other with desire, but somehow are able to separate and focus on getting her stuff put away.  After they get done, Finn goes to bed; he has a doctor’s follow-up at the Candy Kingdom in the morning.  Marceline sits down to write a few things in her journal.  Later in the evening, Marceline heads to bed.  She sees Finn sleeping so peacefully, and starts to feel the passion well within her!  She fights it off, then changes to a bat and snuggles under his unbroken arm.  She is pretty sure she can stay in control while she is in her bat form!

The next morning Finn wakes up and sees Marcie-bat cuddled up tightly in his arm.  He very gently, without waking her, brings her up to his face and kisses her forehead.  Then he lays her down on the bed and puts the blanket over her.  He gets ready to see the doctor, has some breakfast and heads out the door.  He walks to the Candy Kingdom hospital and goes in to see Dr Princess.  She gives him a clean bill of health, and is utterly shocked to see that he doesn’t need the cast on his left arm anymore!  She says, “Finn, it should have taken at least 6 more weeks for your bones to mend, but they did the job in less than 8 days after the break!  What is up with you?”  About this time Princess Bubblegum walks in.  She had heard a bit of the conversation and says, “It’s because you have the Vampyri virus Finn.  When Marceline was drinking your blood in the cave, she unintentionally planted the virus.  Your DNA has adjusted to it, and you have got a few benefits from it!  One is fast healing.  Another is that sometime over the next few months you should be able to fly, although probably not as fast as Marceline.”  Finn grins at this!  She continues, “You are also going to age a lot slower than normal, everything else being equal, you should see your 200^th birthday!”  Finn says, “What’s the negative?”  PB replies, “I don’t know, other than when you die you will be a vampire.  We don’t really know a lot about this type of situation.  Normally Vampires kill or turn their victims when it gets to this point.  I would really like to look at some of your blood, Finn.”  He agrees and she draws a sample of his blood.  After this, Finn starts walking home.  He sees Jake in the courtyard playing with his puppies!  He starts walking over to him, but Jake waves him off.  He says, “I don’t need your company, brother.  And stay away from my kids!”  Finn is shocked!  He walks away and tries to think of what he has done that could make Jake so angry.  They are his nieces and nephews; he would love to play with them!  But Finn honors Jakes desire and heads home.

When Finn gets to the tree house, he walks in and can’t find Marceline!  He looks around for her, but can’t find her.  He goes up to the belfry of the tree house and looks.  Then he sees her!  She is sitting by the cliff edge north of the house, under her umbrella.  He walks over to her, and sits down next to her.  He says, “Couldn’t sleep?”  She replies, “I was writing in my journal after you left, and decided to read a few older entries.  I was reading about how I had a few friends back a few hundred years ago, and we would have so much fun together.  Then they got old.  Even at that I still liked hanging out with them!  One day I went over and we jammed together.  Bella was about 60 and James was about 65.  We had a great time singing about the times we spent as youths!  They had a great couple of kids, that were grown up and raising their own children.  At the end of the night I left, but as I flew off I realized I had left Hambo at their house.  So I went back.  When I got there, I saw that a pair of vampires had followed me there and were attacking James and Bella!  As the Vampire Queen, I was able to make them pay for their outrage!  But James was dead and not coming back.  Bella was mortally wounded.  I was devastated!  I told her with tears in my eyes that I could turn her into a vampire so she could live forever.  She replied, “No, child.  If being a vampire means I would be doing things like this, then I don’t want that life.  I would rather go to the 50^th dead world with my beloved James.”  Then she died.  I cried for days after that.”  Then Marceline starts crying.  “I vowed that I would never turn another living thing.  But I broke that vow.  You are going to be a vampire when you die.”  Finn replies, “I know.  Princess Bubblegum told me when I was at the doctor.”  Marceline’s eyes turn red!  Finn can see she is getting angry again!  He grabs her hand and says, “That jealousy thing is pretty hard to control!”  The touch of his hand calms her down. 

Marceline says with venom in her voice, “What else did Bonnibelle say?”  Finn replies, “She told me that I’m going to get a few benefits out of this, like fast healing, an extended lifespan, and maybe even flight!”  Marceline’s eyebrows rise when he says that!  “Where did she get this information?”  Finn says, “She showed me an old book called ‘101 Things You Don’t Know about Vampires’.  She said that her great grandmother wrote the book based on time she spent in the Hall of Vampires with her friend Nespheritos.”  Marceline gets a shocked look on her face!  Nespheritos was killed by sunlight nearly a hundred years ago.  Could it be…?  Marceline says, “We need to speak to Princess Bubblegum and see that book as soon as we can!”  They stand up and then a streak of flame strikes Marceline, burning her left side badly and catching her umbrella on fire!  Marceline screams in pain and then hisses as the sun strikes her, causing even more pain!  Then she crawls to a nearby boulder to hide in its shadow.  Finn looks up and sees Flame Princess!  He yells, “Flame Princess!  Stop!  What are you doing?”  She replies, “That undead wench ruined my life!  I’m going to ruin hers!”  She forms a huge ball of fire between her hands, and as she gets ready to throw it, Finn says, “Killing her won’t win me back, Flame Princess.  I’m bonded with Marceline for life.  All you will do is leave me with an empty hole in my heart with no way or no one to fill it for the rest of my life.”  He looks at her and with a stolid look on his face says, “If you are going to kill anyone, it should be me.”  Flame Princess is stunned by Finn’s words.  Then she gets a stern look on her face and causes a wall of fire around Finn, leaving him nowhere to go except off the edge of the cliff.  All of a sudden, the flame melts the thin rock making the cliff and it collapses!  Finn falls towards certain death on the rocks below!  Marceline and Flame Princess both scream!  Marceline is helpless!  The sun won’t allow her to catch him.  Flame Princess says, “All I wanted him to do was feel my pain, I didn’t want to kill him!”  Then she starts crying and streaks away from the cliff!

Finn is falling!  All he can think about is the hole that this will leave in Marceline’s heart, when everything around him fades to black.  Finn looks around, and sees nothing!  Suddenly there is a flash of light, and he sees the Cosmic Owl!  The Owl raises its wing, and Finn is brought up to the Owl, looking at him face to face.  The Cosmic Owl says, “Hello Finn!  It seems your day has taken a turn for the worse!”  Finn says, “Are you here to take me to the 50^th death world?”  The Owl replies, “No, child.  You are not finished with this world.  Your destiny has not been fulfilled.  You must save the land of Ooo once and again.  This world needs you.  You are a great hero in this land, and some day you will be considered its greatest hero.  But even more than that, you still have to train the one who will be THE greatest hero the land has ever seen.  Without your wisdom and guidance, this hero will not be ready for the tasks ahead.”  “Finn replies, “How will I be able to survive the fall?”  The Owl replies, “I’ll take care of that.  You take care of the land.  Save your undead friend, she is a very important part of your destiny.  Here, I grant you the power needed to take care of this situation.”  Finn says, “I love Marceline, but my love is tainted…”  The Owl interjects, “Yes, the bond of the bloodlust.  This is something that must be dealt with.”  Energy encompasses Finn, and he feels that the bond is gone!  Finn looks at the Owl and says, “Can you cure her too?”  The Owl replies, “No, Child.  You will find the way to cure her, as your destiny unfolds.”

The land of Ooo returns!  Finn wills the fall to stop, and it does!  He floats back to the top of the cliff, and sees Marceline.  He floats over to her, and she cannot believe her eyes!  Finn is coated in bright, light blue energy!  He reaches down to her and grabs her hand.  As he touches her, the burns on her body heal instantly!  He lifts her to a standing position, and Marceline feels the warmth of the sun for the first time in centuries!  It feels so good!  Tears of joy form in her eyes as Finn’s energy forms under her feet.  They float back to the tree house, and enter via the belfry.  Then the energy around Finn fades away.  Marceline grabs Finn in a hug and says, “Finn, what happened?”  He replies, “I’m not totally sure.  The Cosmic Owl saved me, and put that energy aura around me so I could save you.  Marceline, I have a lot to think about.”  Marcie is overwhelmed by the thought that the Cosmic Owl saved Finn!  She guesses that he must have some big things to do in Ooo.

Everything that has gone on has been magnified in Marceline’s brain by the bond.  She feels very turned on, reaches over to Finn from behind, and puts her arms around his waist.  Her tongue gets very long as she licks his ear.  Finn grabs her hands and pulls them away.  He says, “Marcie, the Owl cured the bond.  I really need some time to put all of this together.”  Then he goes down to the main level.  Marceline thinks, “Finn, I’m not cured.  I still love you more than life itself.  Think quickly, because I need you in my life more than ever!”
